DGS stands for "Dryden Aqua glass sand" and is one of the best glass sand currently on the
market. It is produced in Dryden Aqua's own factory in strict compliance with an ISO
certified process.

The glass is first washed and disinfected and then carefully broken to the desired shape
a size. Above all, we ensure that there are no sharp glass plugs in the filter media
can end and the organic load remains below 400g per tonne. But DGS is
no AFM. DGS does not undergo the patented activation process and is manufactured from mixed glass. The white glass is not filtered out. Nevertheless, DGS is a better filter media than sand because it accumulates fewer microorganisms, but is not bio-resistant like AFM.

DGS is the answer in the price sensitive glass media market where performance is less important.
